This popular park, for touring units only, is located within the parkland of Tollymore Forest which is noted for its scenic surroundings. The forest park is approached by a majestic avenue of Himalayan cedars and covers an area of almost 500 hectares. Situated two miles from the beaches and resort of Newcastle, it is backed impressively by the Mourne mountains.

Tollymore forest park has always been one of my favourite spots for camping. The walks around the forest trails are beautiful and sign posted for all abilities from 1k up to 8km. There's a great toilet and shower block and hard standing pitches with electric if needs be. The site also has two chemical waste disposal points. Newcastle is only a mile are so up the road were you'll find a typical seaside town with large beach. The forest park itself has no shops so it's advisable to get all before you arrive.There's security officers patrolling so there's no misbehaving.The cost of a hard standing pitch with electric for two nights was around £35.Absolutely a beautiful part of the world in the Mountains of Mourne.

Lovely place to stay with great trails for walking both short and long walks.
A pleasantly laid out campsite that is open and sunny. The facilities look dated but are functional and the showers are good and hot. There is no reception just the car park staff but security visit in the evenings. The site is handy for Newcastle and forest walks and for walking in the Mourne Mountains.
